Start your adventure in the fashion capital of the world, Milan, home of the elegant fashion district Quadrilatero della Moda and the world-famous La Scala Opera. From Milan you'll be taken to the romantic city of Venice for a guided walking tour and Gondola ride. Discover the beauty of the Italian Lakes afterwards with a scenic cruise along Lake Como before admiring the breathtaking art and architecture of Florence the "Cradle of Renaissance." Conquer the Tuscan countryside with a visit to San Gimignano, Siena and Chianti where you'll feast on a delightul lunch and wine tasting. Ride a high-speed train to Rome the Eternal City where you'll treated to an amazing tour of the city's top sights including the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. A high-speed train ride will take you to Naples, the "birthplace of pizza" resting in the shadow of the legendary Mt. Vesuvius. Visit the ruins of Pompeii before heading further into the south with a journey to Sorrento the land of sun kissed lemons, olive groves, and the famous "limoncello." Visit the Isle of Capri, home to spectacular caves and lush vegetation and enjoy a cruise around the island, soaking in the sunshine. You'll return to Rome and have time at your leisure before you transfer to the Fiumicino airport.

ITINERARY

Day 1, Arrival in Milan, Best of Milan Walking Tour
Meet your tour director and enjoy the sights of Milan with a guided tour. Visit the elegant fashion district Quadrilatero della Moda, and the imposing Duomo, the real symbol of Milan, with its extraordinary Gothic architecture. Afterwards, you will reach Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery and the world-famous La Scala Opera. In the next stop you’ll reach the splendid Sforza Castle by tram, the old fashion cable car, going along the most charming streets of the historic centre. You’ll be stunned by the massive walls of the Castle, once a military facility.  Remainder of the afternoon to spend at your leisure. (B)

Day 2, Milan - Lake Como - Bellagio – Milan
Discover the beauty of the Italian Lakes and enjoy a guided walking tour of Lake Como. You’ll discover the majestic white marble Duomo, walk along the elegant Via Vittorio Emanuele, the ancient medieval walls and the Romanesque Sant’Abbondio Church. If you like shopping, you will love the beautiful and picturesque streets with traditional local shops and products. Our walk continues along the lakeside promenade to reach Villa Olmo with its ornate garden and magnificent views of the lake and town. Finish your day with a boat cruise on the lake where you will reach the charming village of Bellagio, pearl of the Como Lake where you will be able to explore the area as you you wish, for instance you could lose yourself in the magnificent Villa Carlotta botanic gardens or through the alleys of graceful villages. After the tour, your tour leader will accompany you back to Milan. Overnight at your hotel. (B)

Day 3, Milan - Venice (High Speed Train)
After enjoying the morning at leisure, you'll reach Venice by train. Enjoy a guided walking tour into the secrets of Venice followed by an elegant Gondola ride. (B)

Day 4, Venice - Florence (High Speed Train)
Enjoy free time in the morning to explore Venice before boarding your train to Florence. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the Best of Florence, exploring the beauties of the City by night. You will visit Piazzale Michelangelo with its amazing view over the city, followed by the city’s Roman origins to a 15th century palace, the Ponte Vecchio, the famous Uffizi courtyard, the amazing Brunelleschi’s Dome which overlooks the Baptistery’s golden “Gates of Paradise”. Afterwards, enjoy a special dinner in the heart of Florence. (B,D)

Day 5, Florence – Pisa - San Gimignano - Siena - Chianti – Florence
You will reach Pisa to visit its stunning Piazza dei Miracoli, the Baptistery, the Cathedral and, of course, the famous Leaning Tower. Stop at Chianti for lunch in a wine bar or restaurant. Enjoy tasting renowned local wines as well as a traditional Tuscan dish. After lunch, the wonders continue with a visit to San Gimignano, the splendid Medieval town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Following the panoramic roads of the Chianti region, you will get to Siena, the city of the Palio Horse Race. Overnight at your hotel. (B) 

Day 6, Florence
Enjoy this day at your own leisure or choose from optional tours like exploring the treasures of the City, like the Accademia Gallery and its David, or the Uffizi and its masterpieces.  Otherwise, you might take a day tour to Cinque Terre or experience the Tuscan Countryside on a Vespa tour or Horse-back riding. Overnight at your hotel in Florence. (B)

Day 7, Florence – Rome (High Speed Train)
Once arriving in Rome enjoy a guided walking tour visiting the city's top sights. You’ll take a panoramic tour of the Colosseum and Forum from outside, followed by a walking tour of the Baroque Rome near Piazza Navona including the treasures of the amazing Trevi fountain as well as the Pantheon, unique   jewel of architecture.  After a quick break, you will skip-the-line to get into the Vatican Museum where, following a carefully planned itinerary, you will visit the famous Sistine Chapel, plus a wide variety of galleries featuring ancient sculptures, tapestries, medieval maps, paintings and precious relics. Accompanied by your guide, you will be shown particular details in Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel frescos such as the painful punishments. Overnight at your hotel in Rome. (B)

Day 8, Rome
Enjoy this day at your own leisure or choose from optional tours such as Colosseum and Ancient Rome tour or Borghese Gallery tour, if you prefer to learn more about local art and history, or maybe you could enjoy a fun Pizza Making Cooking Class to learn the secrets of the most famous Italian dish. At the end of the day, if you’d like, you might treat yourself with an optional Gourmet Dinner paired with wines. (B)

Day 9, Rome
Enjoy the morning at leisure before boarding a regional train to Frascati. Set in the Castelli Romani area, Frascati has been chosen through the Centuries by Popes and aristocratic families for their summer residences. Enjoy the breathtaking birds-eye view of the Eternal City before enjoying your dinner in a typical "Fraschetta". The fraschetta in Frascati is uniquely Italian, and something you should try at least once in your life, drinking wine and eating local food in a friendly atmosphere. After dinner you will head back to Rome. (B,D)

Day 10, Rome - Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento (High Speed Train)
You’ll start your journey early in the morning, once you’ve boarded your high-speed train to Naples. After the train ride, join a tour of the excavations of Pompeii and get touched by the dramatic story of the Roman city destroyed and buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. After the guided tour, you’ll proceed to Sorrento in time for dinner. (B,D)

Day 11, Sorrento - Capri – Sorrento
After breakfast, join a full day excursion to Capri. Transfer to the harbour and reach the enchanting Isle of Capri, favourite vacation spot of the Emperor Tiberius. When you arrived at the port of Marina Grande, you’ll take the trip around the island while taking a glimpse of the “Scugnizzo” welcoming statue, Tiberius’ leap, Coral Grotto, White Grotto, Natural arch, Villa Malaparte, Faraglioni, Bay of Marina Piccola, Siren’s rock, Green Grotto, Punta Carena lighthouse, and if sea and weather conditions permit, also the famous Blue Grotto (the visit inside the sea cave by row boat is not included in the price of the trip and must be purchased separately at the entrance to the Blue Grotto). After returning to Marina Grande you will take the minibus and reach the glamorous La Piazzetta to enjoy its elegant atmosphere and have time sightseeing the Island on your own. Return to Sorrento where you’ll enjoy a tasting of the unique Limoncello, the zesty liquor made from the fragrant lemons of Sorrentine Area. (B,D)

Day 12, Sorrento
Enjoy a whole day at leisure in the charming Sorrento. Excursions available. (B,D)

Day 13, Sorrento – Napoli – Rome
After breakfast you will start your journey back to Rome. Upon arriving you will have time at your leisure to explore the Eternal City. (B)

Day 14, Rome
Transfer to Fiumicino airport. End of tour.
